THE OLD VICARAGE BOUTIQUE WEDDING VENUE 01636 815 989 | www.vicarageboutiquehotel.co.uk Set in private conservation grounds, The Old Vicarage is an award-winning, family run venue set in the heart of Southwell, Nottinghamshire. Couples are greeted by a modern interior the moment they walk into the premises, which sympathetically complements the original features of the Victorian building. The exclusive and intimate wedding venue has been lovingly designed and up-kept to the highest of standards. Built in 1847, the venue was originally the Vicarage to the local Holy Trinity church. The building has all of its original brick and stonework with original sash windows. The gardens are beautifully kept with a fountain and the lavender walkways, which are overlooked by the bandstand and orangery. The venue offers more than just one licensed ceremony area. The Main Ceremony Room is laid with herringbone flooring, panelled wall detailing and framed by a beautiful Victorian bay window. The aisle is lit by three chandeliers making an elegant entrance. Or, say “I do” in the gardens on the bandstand that was handcrafted in Pennsylvania with 60 people. Receptions take place inside with 60 people in the day and an additional 30 guests in the evening. After dancing the night away, guests can head to the eight individually designed bedrooms. The Old Vicarage offers many packages, which include a three- course wedding breakfast, evening food, the wedding suite on the special day, a reception drink and more! Each pair will work closely with the dedicated wedding events planners to ensure the perfect day. THE LAKESIDE enquiries@thelakeside.co.uk | w ww.thelakeside.co.uk Nestled in 22 acres of landscaped grounds, The Lakeside’s iconic red brick structure has been part of the north Nottinghamshire skyline for almost 200 years. After being lovingly restored, the team has incorporated a contemporary design while keeping some original features and Victorian architecture that includes: the iconic mock bell tower concealing a 52m high chimney and the Thomas Hawksley Tower viewing gallery. Open to guests for the first time in years, visitors can make the 75 stone step climb to the viewing gallery at the top, the most idyllic spot for some incredible wedding photographs. The refurbishment paid particular attention to restore the grounds to their former glory to allow guests to have drinks on the terrace, an elegant wedding or just a family stroll. The layout of the buildings and cooling ponds bring everything together, adding to the ornamental garden feel. Couples can exchange vows in The Grand Hall with 150 guests, which boasts huge windows overlooking the grounds, a striking contemporary design and original features. After the ceremony, the married couple can capture their first special moments in the gardens, where the lake and mature landscaping make for timeless photos. Guests can sip on champagne and nibble irresistible canapés from the Lakeside’s exclusive wedding garden or mezzanine bar. There’s a selection of versatile reception rooms including the Grand Hall, Hawksley’s Bar and Lounge as well as the Tower Suite, all of which are equipped with their own bars and sound systems. The Lakeside offers on-site accommodation to make the wedding party as relaxed as possible before the big day. The two-bedroom, luxury lodge is the perfect space to relax and unwind. Couples who book the venue are offered a complimentary tasting session to try the food. www.esth erlouisetriffittphotography.com www.esth erlouisetriffittphotography.com www.pea rbearphotography.com 14
