the couple chose slow-roast pork belly followed by summer pudding for dessert. In the evening, bacon and sausage baps, with a vegetarian option, were served alongside their wedding cake. Amy tried on 72 dresses but never found one that felt quite right. “I decided the only way forward was to have my dress made bespoke,” she says. “I approached Camilla Brides in Norwich, who worked with me to create my gown exactly as I’d imagined.” Gary complemented Amy’s gown with a threepiece grey suit from Pure Suits, while his groomsmen wore navy versions. The three bridesmaids chose floor-length, one-shoulder gowns in varying shades of lilac from JJ’s House. To keep guests entertained, the couple hired string quartet Kavolini to perform before and after the ceremony. In the evening, DJ KSD Events played throughout the reception, and a rustic photo booth provided fun props such as feathers and balloons for guests to pose with. “There were so many amazing moments,” says Amy. “From seeing Gary waiting at the end of the aisle, to signing the register, to an energetic dance session to Pink Pony Club late into the evening.” Amy and Gary share their top tip for couples planning their wedding. “Agree on a budget and use a spreadsheet to track what you’re spending,” explains Amy. “Above all, don’t get fixated on the little details, on the day, they really won’t matter!” 34
