The business is the brainchild of Gemma Thompson, from Costessey, Norfolk, who has been a successful mortgage advisor for more than 15 years. The idea of converting a horse trailer into a fully operational bar came at the King’s Coronation. Gemma was able to source a trailer from Facebook Marketplace and set to work converting it into a fully operational bar with the help of her friends. The transformation, including all necessary licenses and insurance, cost less than £5,000. GG’s bar can be tailored to the needs of the customer or event. It can be a prosecco bar, a gin bar, or a fully stocked bar with a choice of drinks. It comes equipped with professional, friendly, and experienced staff who will be on hand to keep the drinks flowing. Gemma tells us: “Being a mortgage advisor is very rewarding, and I really enjoy helping people secure their dream homes, but it’s not the most exciting of professions. AFFAIR grand Bree-Anne and Harry met through a family friend and instantly clicked Images courtesy of Creative Pixel Photos Bree-Anne and Harry met in 2014 through her cousin. “We instantly clicked and always had a laugh when we were together,” says Bree-Anne. “We were best friends for a few years before getting into a relationship in May 2016.” Harry popped the question in 2022 in Corfu. “It was a complete surprise,” shares the bride. “It was the beginning of the holiday, and Harry took me to a clifftop as the sun was setting, where he then got down on one knee. I was speechless, but of course I said yes!” Read on to see some of Bree-Anne’s favourite moments from their big day... A 33 REAL WEDDINGS
We had always spoken about how, if we ever got married, it was going to be at Woolverstone Hall. We wanted somewhere where we could hire the whole venue and have the ceremony and reception all in one place, and the décor matched our colour scheme perfectly. SA Events provided our sit-down meal. The main course was chicken supreme, dauphinoise potatoes, and a mixture of salad bowls for the table. For dessert, we had a trio of white chocolate mousse, ice cream, and brownies. In the evening, we hired The Hot Sausage Company to cater for our guests. For our transport, we hired a navy Rolls-Royce Shadow. Flowers by Hayley created our blooms, which were roses with lots of sage green. Harry and I chose a three-tiered cake from The Little Cake Place. It was a semi-naked design with artificial flowers. For our favours, we created boxes full of sweets for the children, and for the adults, we had little shot glasses. 34
I chose a full-length white dress with lace detail embroiled on the skirt and train. This was the first dress I tried on at Just a Day Bridalwear in Ipswich, and it made everyone shed a tear when I walked out. I tried on other dresses afterwards, but I knew this was the one. Harry opted for a navy suit with a white shirt and a lilac tie from Coes. My bridesmaids’ chose slim-fitting lilac dresses. We were both really nervous; I remember waking up thinking the day had come around so quickly! I got to the venue to get ready with my mum and sisters, and from then on, the nerves calmed down, and I was really excited! Harry was nervous the whole morning until I got down the aisle. To keep our guests entertained, we had a signing waiter perform after the main meal was finished. He was amazing; he really got our loved ones in the party mood, and everyone laughed the whole time. After the ceremony, our family and friends stood outside and threw confetti over us. Everyone had the biggest smiles on their faces, and we both felt so much love. The first dance was also really special; we danced together to Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley, and then it faded into I’m a Believer by Smash Mouth, where all our friends and family joined us on the dancefloor. 35 REAL WEDDINGS

We couldn’t have done it without them! The catering team at SA Events was amazing; they supplied us with waiters and waitresses for the day, and they really went above and beyond for all of our guests. Lastly, Sarah, who works for Woolverstone Hall, was so helpful and friendly; anytime I had a question, I would email Sarah, and she was more than happy to help wherever she could. She was also there on the day to make sure everything ran smoothly. Harry rides a motorcycle and has always wanted to travel to Europe, so for our honeymoon, we travelled around France, Switzerland, and Italy for two weeks. We had the best time and made so many lovely memories. We didn’t plan anything in advance; we booked the Eurotunnel and our accommodation for the first evening and then made the rest up as we went along! 36
