Your East Anglian Wedding - February/March 2023 (Issue 59)

LOOKING THE PART Lucy wore a dress that was not what she had imagined but simply beautiful. “I had the overcoat specially made to go over the dress with a slight touch of bling on the front,” recalls Lucy. “When purchasing the dress, I wanted a ballgown style that would flow over Keltic and complement both of us. I did get some horse slobber on my dress but, after our lovely photographer said she could edit those bits out, I didn’t care one bit as I was living my dream! I think that the dress picks you; I tried on many dresses at the start, I didn’t think I would have gone for something so plain, but I fell in love with the dress and its pockets!” Lucy accessorised with a blue necklace gifted to her by Teejay’s mum, something old was a gold bracelet from her nan, and her perfume was borrowed from her sister. Her something new were her earrings; “all very simple accessories that made the whole outfit complete!” adds Lucy. Teejay wore a very smart, country style navy tweed suit teamed with brown Chelsea boots; the groomsmen wore matching suits to Teejay with different coloured ties and waistcoats with personalised cufflinks. Finally, the bridesmaids wore eucalyptus-green dresses, pearl jewellery and accessories matching the bride’s. TIME TO CELEBRATE Lucy and Teejay had ample entertainment on the day to entertain their friends and family, “Rodeo Bull is a must I believe!” shares Lucy. “It’s great for the kids and the young at heart – I even got on it in my wedding dress! There were a few split trousers but laughs and memories that will go on forever.” The couple also offered guests sparklers to create a picture-perfect lit tunnel of light for Lucy and Teejay to walk under. Lucy adds, “It was magical! We had a roulette table as well which was great fun and kept our guests occupied for hours!” MEMORABLE MOMENTS On the day the pair were excited, nervous and overall trying to take it all in slowly, “We were remembering to breathe and to enjoy every single second of the day; I can truly say that’s exactly what we did!” shares Lucy. “Seeing all our families and friends having a good time was amazing!” Standout moments include having her horse there and watching everyone enjoy the day! “Seeing my sisters in their bridesmaid dresses, and my mum, dad, as well as my brothers, dressed up and looking very dapper (and of course my very handsome groom) was special,” adds Lucy. “Teejay mispronounced his vows, and we both nearly fell down the aisle together, and the bridesmaids even over-walked the aisle and had to come back, but were standout moments for us.” 43 REAL WEDDINGS
