Your East Anglian Wedding - February/March 2023 (Issue 59)

Top tip: If it hasn’t gone the way you planned let it go – nobody cares! They’re just there to see you happy. My parents were just amazing just making the d ay go so smoothly, if there were any stresses, they didn’t show. They were parents to both of us on the day and we truly felt their love and support even though they are not ones for normally showing th eir feelings. Ann and Janet did an awesome job looking after our dogs. My bandits (bridesmaids) were amazing but special thanks to Sarah and Gemma for dealing with the whole run-up and stressed me! My dad’s speech entailed him telling everyone how I was ‘such a whingey baby, they nearly abandoned me in France but felt they couldn’t inflict me on the French’. I haven’t heard that story before but loved it, as did everyone else. Both of us suffer with anxiety so emotions were r ight on the surface on the wedding day. We had a bit of a stress while we were getting ready, Chip had lost her Spanx and we couldn’t find th em anywhere – turned out I was wearing them! Walking down the aisle, and totally focussing on looking in to my girl’s eyes, was very emotional but it was all about her . 38
