Your East Anglian Wedding - October/November 2022 (Issue 57)

From our reception drinks near the fountains to the wedding breakfast in the ballroom everything flowed from one beautiful backdrop to another. We used family wedding photos of our parents, grandparents and great grandparents for the table plan and named the tables after them with the date they were married going back as far as 1924. It was lovely to see and very meaningful for us to think they were all there with us in some way. The centrepieces included gypsophila to match the bridesmaids’ bouquets, displayed on mirror placemats with Polaroid snaps of the table plan photos and wedding dates. Instead of favours we had a photo booth and selfie frame to capture fun photos for our guests to take home with them. “My bridesmaid Jessica wrote the most emotional reading, which included not only our feelings for each other but also the love she has for us both. She was there when we first met and has watched our love grow from day one!” “I gave the colour of the bridesmaids’ dresses to our florist and she got to work. I already knew she was amazing and our flowers were absolutely beautiful.” We had huge pedestal flower arrangements at the end of the aisle which looked like something from a movie! They were then moved to either side of the top table for the reception and the fragrance was delicious! The venue decorated all the chairs with ivory sashes and provided a sweet cart, doughnut wall and traditional outdoor games. 45 REAL WEDDINGS
