Your East Anglian Wedding - April/May 2022 (Issue 54)

My maid-of-honour Chelsea wore a navy, floor-length dress with sequins and my man-of-honour Kehn wore a brown suit with a tie to match Drew’s. Drew wore a Next suit and didn’t have a t raditional grooms party. I bought him a personalised Skagen watch as a wedding-day gift with the inscription ‘FINALLY 08.11.21’. After growing out of two pandemic wedding gown buys, I ended up getting my dress from a lovely lady who had fallen pregnant before being able to even take the tags off. I couldn’t believe my luck! It was a design I’d had my eye on from before Drew even proposed but it was sold out everywhere. We loved Bressingham Hall and the fact that it had accommodation on site. With some family and friends travelling more than 200 miles to be there, we needed to be able to put them up close by. I decided from the very beginning to do the floristry myself. It’s certainly much harder than it looks and I had three trial runs over the course of two years to get the designs I actually used on the day. 30
