Your East Anglian Wedding - February/March 2022 (Issue 53)

THE FLINT ROOM, NR1 3HB 07576 760 841| www.theflintroom.co.uk If you’re on the hunt for something different for your wedding ceremony, this Medieval former church is sure to tick the box. Set right in the heart of Norwich, the landmark building dates back to the 15th and 16th century. Beautiful, large windows allow the natural light to flood in and the clock tower, one of the tallest in the city, can be seen from miles around. Iron gates and big oak barrels filled with bushy palms lead to the main entrance and the interior is a magical mix of eclectic and bespoke memorabilia, including a quirky bar and a collection of funky, colourful vintage chairs. As it’s no longer a church, only non-religious ceremonies can be held here, with up to 100 guests. There’s a beautiful ivy flower arch to stand by as you exchange vows and you can toast your new married status at the bar afterwards, before heading off for the reception. What’s more, with so many restaurants and hotels on the doorstep, you won’t have far to go to continue the celebrations! We love... the venue’s unique vibe. MANNINGTON ESTATE, NR11 7BB 01263 584 175 | www.manningtongardens.co.uk This hidden gem is located in an idyllic spot north of Norwich and just eight miles from the coast. Nestled in beautiful rural surroundings, the stunning gardens provide a picture-picture setting with the impressive Medieval hall in the background. The hall is still a family home today and, although you can’t marry here, there’s plenty of space in the grounds for a magical marquee reception or you can hire the tearooms for a more intimate celebration. We love... the moat and wonderful natural surroundings. 20
