Wedding stylist unveils trends Wedding and event stylist Natalie Blake unveils the most popular trends that 2025 is enjoying. She says, “We’re seeing couples swap beige, neutral tones and dried flower arrangements for those featuring bursts of colour. This is a great way to add a more personalised feel to a wedding day by making a colourful and bold statement.” Natalie also explains how private, intimate gatherings are trending this year. She says, “Micro weddings are proving to be just as popular. Put the large wedding plans aside and concentrate on a smaller guest list. Having more time to spend with your loved ones on your special day and prioritising spending money on the things that you want to maximise is key.” nblakeweddingdesign.com Ugly Butterly 2.0 HAS OPENED AT THE HEADLAND Award-winning chef Adam Handling MBE has opened Ugly Butterfly 2.0 at The Headland in Newquay. Local artist Olly Howe has created a mural, which covers the exterior, capturing the sapphire, ruby and gold colours of the Ugly Butterfly logo. Inside, visual nods to Cornwall’s breathtaking natural landscape are woven throughout the space. Soft pink and pale green tones echo the shifting light from day to night, against floral pieces. Ugly Butterfly 2.0 is open for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. The menu offers a sustainable and flexible ‘4x4’ offering, enabling guests to build their journey through the South West’s larder. Highlights include Porthilly oysters to start and Adam’s signature lobster wagyu using St.Ives lobsters. Bonbons from the Adam Handling chocolate shop are available too, plus there’s a new champagne trolley featuring a varied selection of champagne and sparkling wine. The relaxed terrace menu serves comfort food that champions Cornish seafood - there’s a fish and chips meal deal, with champagne and dessert. uglybutterfly.co.uk LEADERS AT BOVEY CASTLE FEATURED IN HOSPITALITY POWER LIST Mark Chambers, managing director of the Eden Hotel Collection - which runs Bovey Castle in Dartmoor - has been recognised in The Boutique Hotelier Power List 2025. Mark was named in the ‘Business Leader’ category, while people director Lisa Redding has been recognised in the ‘Hidden Heroes’ category after the hospitality market was invited to nominate individuals. Mark said: “This recognition is extra special as it has been made by industry peers, and further underlines our hotels’ standing not just with the public, but the wider hospitality sector too.” boveycastle.com NEWS Nearlywed All the latest from the region 6

Editor loves I adore this pretty flower and foliage wedding garland made especially for the horse by Plymouth-based Jamelias Flowers, an award-winning freelance florist covering weddings and all occasions. Any floral and colour combination is possible, and a complimentary consultation is offered. jameliasflowers.com/all-occasions-bouquets EDITOR’S PICK The Wedding Album by Cornish Orchestra Studios has launched, with musician, founder and composer Keith Cornish explaining how his daughter’s garden wedding was the inspiration to provide something different from the usual wedding tracks available. “I created a few samples for her to choose from, and Millie’s Melody was picked,” Keith tells us. “The registrar at the venue, a country house run by Springhead Trust in Devon, commented on how refreshing the music sounded. We also put a poem to background music read during the ceremony by a guest unable to make the day, which is a nice way to include a loved one.” The last track on the album is a foxtrot for any aspiring ballroom dancers. Not every couple can afford live music on their special day, so playing original music through a discreet PA system is a great alternative option. amazon.co.uk/Wedding-Album-Cornish-OrchestraStudios/dp/B0F7G7ZWRL BOOK THE POLAR EXPRESS THIS CHRISTMAS PNP Events, South Devon Railway, Rail Events Inc. and Warner Bros have announced that tickets are now on sale for THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride at South Devon Railway in Buckfastleigh with departures between the 28th of November and the 23rd of December 2025. This family Christmas experience is a great idea for those celebrating a family-moon in the region, and this year, every carrier bag purchased from the on-site shops will go towards helping polar bears and their Arctic home. When visitors buy a souvenir at one of the shops and purchase a bag, they will be helping fund polar bear conservation. This initiative will help support WWF’s vital work protecting polar bears and their Arctic habitat - it’s a small gesture with a big impact. At South Devon Railway, the classic story comes to life as guests embark on a magical round-trip journey to the North Pole. A cast of talented performers brings the characters to life, transporting passengers into the world of THE POLAR EXPRESS™ for a onehour immersive experience based on the hit film. Once aboard, the conductor makes his way through the carriages to punch golden tickets while dancing chefs serve hot chocolate and a tasty cookie. Guests are invited to read along with the original children’s book, The Polar Express, by Chris Van Allsburg. Santa himself climbs aboard during the journey to greet children and adults alike, presenting each guest with the first gift of Christmas — a silver sleigh bell. Just like in the story, a lively cast of characters delivers interactive fun throughout the ride. All passengers will receive a souvenir golden ticket and sleigh bell, and families are encouraged to wear pyjamas like the children in the film. IN DEVON Made Tash and Dave chose the stunning Upton Barn & Walled Garden as the setting for their special day Images courtesy of Samantha Louise Photography Tash and Dave met through their love of football, supporting Exeter City FC. “Before meeting Dave, I already knew his dad, Steve, who is also a supporter of Exeter City FC and who was keen to introduce us,” Tash tells us. “It was thanks to him that we met.” Dave surprised Tash with a Christmas Day proposal in 2021, after they had been together for two years. “Upton Barn & Walled Garden was the first venue that we visited, which was very close to our home in Cullompton, and once we viewed it, we both fell in love with it,” Tash tells us. “We knew we didn’t need to see any more venues and that we had found our perfect place. It’s beautiful and set in such a wonderful location - everyone at the venue was so lovely and helpful.” A highlight of the couple’s day was walking down the aisle in front of their loved ones. “I was marrying the love of my life, and the entire day was just perfect and everything I had ever dreamed of,” Tash says. SETTING THE SCENE The couple chose a colour palette of sage green and ivory with black accents to complement the rooms. “Our wonderful theme was brought to life by the amazing Kaliegh at Fika Event Hire who created all of our decor, beautiful centrepieces and signage for the day,” Tash tells us. “The end result was everything that we wanted and more.” Tash and Dave hosted welcome drinks and canapés, followed by a delicious two-course wedding breakfast created by Mulberry Catering. “We also had a sweet table and cupcakes for guests to graze on throughout the day,” Tash says. “During the evening, we hired the Exe Valley Pizza Co. to serve a buffet of pizza, which our guests loved, and the icing on the cake was our three-tier wedding cake featuring three different delicious flavours - Biscoff, vanilla and a marble cake.” LOOKING THE PART Tash wore a dress called Delphine by the designer Casablanca Bridal. “The moment I tried it on, it gave me butterflies and made me feel very emotional – my maid-of-honour and I cried!” she tells us. “I knew at that point it was the one and nothing else could top it. Our bouquets were made by the talented Kate Everbloom, who also created a top table arrangement and buttonholes to match.” Dave and his groomsmen wore tailored navy-check suits while the couple’s bridesmaids wore long sage green multiway dresses that they styled individually. TIME TO ENTERTAIN Tash and Dave hired the amazing Cotswold Wedding Guitarist to perform during their drinks reception. “He did a jukebox guitar session where guests could choose songs for him to play,” Tash tells us. “During the evening, we had a band called The Cove Club who performed live sets which got the party started!” TOP TIP “Make the most of it and enjoy every single moment! Don’t get stressed about anything because once it’s all over, you will miss all the planning. Take in every moment on the day because it does go too quickly!” - Tash and Dave. REAL WEDDINGS 15

A dream day The Barn at Pengelly in Truro teamed up with talented local suppliers to gift a dream wedding to a deserving couple, Grace and Paul Sheppard through the new Unsung Hero Award campaign, a community-driven initiative that celebrates resilience, love, and strength in the face of adversity Images courtesy of I do Film + Photos REAL WEDDINGS 21

Inspirational winning couple Grace and Paul Sheppard met at school and reconnected in 2011, quickly becoming pregnant with their eldest child. “Paul proposed on a crisp, sunny December day in 2015 during a dog walk on the beach,” Grace tells us. “We were so lucky to win The Barn at Pengelly’s Unsung Hero Award, and had a wonderful 1920s-themed day styled with brass ornaments and dried florals in dusky blue.” The couple were unable to afford a wedding due to life-changing circumstances. Paul suffered a brain haemorrhage in 2020, leaving him unable to work, while Grace is a full-time carer to four children, including two with complex needs. Their story captured the hearts of the venue’s team and their extended supplier network, who all donated their services to give Grace and Paul a wonderful wedding day held outside on the terrace. “We enjoyed a delicious three-course wedding breakfast supplied by the incredible Divine Dining, which included crostini or terrine to start; Cornish steak served with butter-roasted thyme chicken or beetroot Wellington as the main course and fudge brownies or pavlova for dessert,” Grace tells us. “Our stunning wedding cake was made by our TOP WEDDING PLANNING TIP? “Write down as much as possible!” - Grace 22

friend Monica.” Grace got ready in the venue’s newly unveiled glam room. “My dress was a gift from La Boutique in Exeter,” Grace shares. “I felt confident wearing it, and it also had pockets, so I was sold! I teamed it with some pretty accessories.” Paul and his groomsmen wore smart blue suits, and the couple’s bridesmaids looked stunning in their gold and blue full-length gowns. The couple entertained their guests with garden games and a challenge for the children, followed by a DJ during the evening. “I asked the children to hide 100 tiny plastic ducks in people’s pockets and handbags, which was hilarious!” Grace tells us. “Walking through the cornfields with smoke bombs was another memorable moment.” “Remember that it’s your special day for the pair of you, so don’t let outside influences change the way you want to celebrate it!” - Grace and Paul REAL WEDDINGS 23

PRE-WEDDING PAMPER TIME Whatever your budget, these beauty and wellness tweaks will have you wedding-ready All images courtesy of unsplash.com GETTING YOUR STEPS IN Regular exercise in the months leading up to your wedding is crucial for overall health, wellbeing, and improving sleep quality. Join a local gym or health club and request an induction to learn what will benefit you most. Book a personal trainer in the three months leading up to your wedding date, or take advantage of any classes and additional facilities offered, like swimming. PURSE-FRIENDLY OPTION: If you can’t stretch to a gym membership, get outside and start walking; it’s one of the best (and free) forms of exercise. Try jogging, running, cycling or even roller skating and check out local dance classes and swimming pools. FRIENDLY FITNESS If you’re part of a group, you’re more likely to commit to a weekly or twice-weekly session and stick to it so research local tennis and golf clubs, cricket and football teams and even Ramblers walking groups or like-minded fitness lovers who like to hike. PURSE-FRIENDLY OPTION: Gather together others who enjoy a game of rounders, football or netball and head to a local park or outside space. Beach volleyball anyone? BEAUTY AND WELLNESS 37

All images courtesy of unsplash.com YOGA MATTERS Enjoy a yoga retreat day where sessions are often followed by a healthy lunch, or join a local class and get stretching. It’s a great way to get in shape and keep your body supple. PURSE-FRIENDLY OPTION: Check out YouTube for yoga tuition that you can do in the comfort of your own home - all you need is a mat. Why not buddy up and enjoy the sessions with a friend or member of your bridal party? THE POWER OF MEDITATION Life is busy, and it can be hard to switch off, so practising meditation is key in the weeks and months before your wedding. Find local workshops or treat yourself to a meditation wellness package at a spa either solo or with your other half. PURSE-FRIENDLY OPTION: Research the many guided meditation apps available to find one that suits you. SPA TIME If you need some much-needed rest after a period of busy wedding planning, then book a weekend spa break where nourishing facials, massages, body treatments and more will be on the menu, performed by expert therapists. Why not treat yourself to a room with a view, a luxurious roll-top bathtub or a private terrace with a hot tub? Take advantage of the swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool, jacuzzi, sauna, experience showers and steam room that the spa might offer. PURSE-FRIENDLY OPTION: Luxury spa day packages often include a pampering treatment, use of the spa facilities for the day and lunch. Alternatively, twilight spa experiences often include off-peak admission times during the early evening, a spa treatment plus use of the facilities. 38

All images courtesy of unsplash.com FAB FACIALS Having regular facials during the lead-up to your wedding will cleanse your skin, remove dead skin cells and help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. PURSE-FRIENDLY OPTION: Don’t forget the golden rule of regular cleansing, exfoliating and moisturising and ensure you keep up a good routine. Create a spa setting at home, light some scented candles, run a hot bubble bath and relax with a face mask and a glass of something sparkling. MUST-HAVE MASSAGE Indulging in a tailored massage to suit your needs, whether it be a full-body one, a back, head and shoulder treatment, or a sports massage, is a great way to relax and recharge. Investing in a course of them is key to getting to the bottom of any problem areas. PURSE-FRIENDLY OPTION: Buy a handheld massager to use regularly at home. SAFE TANNING If you want to achieve that sun-kissed glow on your special day, then book a spray tan in a salon. It’s best to trial one a few months before the big day first to see what the colour will look like, and to check that your skin doesn’t react. PURSE-FRIENDLY OPTION: At-home products work well and can be used to build up a gradual, natural-looking tan. BEAUTY AND WELLNESS 39

YOUR SEASON FINDING Journalist Dakota Murphey offers seasonal inspiration for a unique wedding reception Whilst a summer wedding is traditionally considered the most popular time to tie the knot, there are many reasons why couples choose other seasons for their celebrations. For many, choosing a date comes down to a mix of budget, venue availability, work schedules and personal preferences. Whether you adore autumn’s vibrant colours, the blossoms of early spring, or heartwarming winter celebrations, each season has unique charms to inspire your wedding plans. From selecting sun-kissed summer cakes and bespoke gifts, to arranging autumnal barn dances or finding local caterers with seasonal produce; this guide helps you host a wedding for all the seasons. TIMING YOUR SPECIAL DAY While June to August is regarded as the peak months of the wedding calendar, couples today prefer to secure a date that works around their busy schedules. In 2023, 25% of couples opted for weddings in March, April, and May and 27% chose September to November. If you love the idea of marrying in autumn or winter, think about which wedding venues suit each season best (prior to booking anything). Ideally, view your desired venue in the season you’ll be booking it for – that way you can get a true feel for the potential vibe on the day. Understanding seasonal nuances allows you to plan a memorable reception! TAPPING INTO EXPERTS WITH SEASONED EXPERIENCE Increasingly, couples planning their weddings are recognising the benefits of professional support; with many turning to wedding planners to help them secure a standout occasion. Their experience managing countless celebrations for happy couples well-equips them to offer guidance through the process – assisting with trending wedding designs, and accommodating a small, large or distinct celebration. Similarly, wedding planners with specific seasonal experience prove invaluable; particularly for fine-tuning every detail, navigating last-minute challenges and contacting local suppliers. Ask about previous weddings they’ve coordinated and be confident describing your vision, however quirky or unusual it seems. For example, Matthew Shaw, founder and creative director at Sauveur, shares his inspiration on embracing the winter season, chuttersnap.com 40

MEET THE EXPERT Website: dakotamurphey.co.uk Email: dakota@dakotamurphey.co.uk saying, “If you are planning a January or February wedding, you will likely also be the first one of the year – which can be very exciting! From the food offering to design and dress code, there’s a lot of fun to be had!” A further source of inspiration can be gained by tapping into your wedding photographer’s wealth of knowledge – who will usually be happy to share insights, showcase portfolios, and suggest photogenic poses at specific locations and times. They can also offer advice on how to capture the essence of a season and the best natural or candid shots during your big day. Wedding photographer Gauthier le Guen, in an MPB interview, highlights how the four seasons contribute to the uniqueness of each occasion: “I also like the fact that each wedding is unique – the reception locations, the decorations and the atmosphere are always changing according to the seasons – so I never get tired of the job.” BALANCING AESTHETICS WITH PRACTICALITIES Weather will always be a major consideration when planning any celebration. Even in the height of summer, in late spring, and September’s elusive ‘Indian Summer’ – there’s no guarantee of blue skies and hours of sunshine. With a wedding planner and photographer on side, your wedding plans will remain a careful balancing act. Whatever the month, you’ll need to take into account weather forecasts, budgets, guest experiences, catering, and table plans to name a few. For instance, remain flexible with indoor-outdoor options if you want a photo booth, a marquee or wanting to stage an incredible firework display. INSPIRING IDEAS FOR THE FOUR SEASONS When you think of spring, renewal and fresh beginnings come to mind – the perfect symbolism for a wedding. You might want to create a theme based on natural colours for wedding favours, flowers, music, food and drink all associated with this time of year. Consider soft pastels for bridal wear; additionally, table decorations featuring tulips or daffodils, and spring colours depict delicate beauty. Summer weddings promise longer days, ample natural light for photography, and elegant outdoor receptions in country gardens. Consider acoustic live music that can transition from daytime celebrations to evening dancing under the stars. Autumn can offer the most spectacular backdrop at weddings with rich burgundy, burnt orange, and deep forest green giving venues a dramatic décor. Venue lighting becomes particularly important – amber uplighting and lots of candles enhance a warm glow befitting the time of year. However, winter weddings possess a magical quality unlike any other season. Transform reception spaces with fairylights, crystal elements, and white florals for an enchanted atmosphere. Venues with fireplaces become particularly coveted, offering both cosy warmth and ambiance. Winter bridal fashion allows for luxurious fabrics like satin and faux fur wraps. Festive catering options will likely feature mulled wine, rich chocolate desserts, and hearty main courses to warm guests. Whichever county you’re looking forward to marrying in, every season brings a diversity of colours, fresh flowers and home-grown produce to make a wedding unique. Whether you envisage a fairytale mid-summer event or an idyllic snowy winter affair, your wedding reception will be an enchanting fusion of that season’s natural beauty and personal style. unsplash.com.@mutecevvil Unsplash.com.@julie_soul unsplash.com.@claitonconto BRIDESMAIDS 41

ZODIAC BRIDES Could your star sign help you plan your dream wedding? Here we uncover your true desires ARIES (MARCH 21 – APRIL 19) Hollie says, “The Aries bride is bold, dynamic, and unapologetically herself. Expect dramatic entrances and daring choices. Her wedding style is often modern with a touch of drama… think sleek silhouettes, statement accessories, and pops of bold colours like red, her power hue.” Inbaal, explains that Aries brides are ‘sporty and quick’, and prefer dresses that move with them: “If it slows them down, they won’t consider it”. Confident and energetic, Aries brides thrive in functional fashion. They need breathable fabrics, strapless designs, and adjustable lace-up backs that flatter without restricting. Hollie Lewis, a wedding and events manager, has revealed what each zodiac bride is typically like; we’re talking dramatic Leos and playful Geminis – but what are they really looking for on their wedding day? Once you’ve got your theme, what wedding dresses best reflects your astro sign? Celebrity astrologer Inbaal Honigman, reveals what romantic Librans and magnetic Scorpios will be wearing down the aisle. CANCER (JUNE 21 – JULY 22) Hollie says, “the Cancer bride is romantic, nostalgic, and deeply sentimental. Her wedding is an emotional experience, centred around family, tradition, and heartfelt moments. Their weddings feature soft lighting, vintageinspired décor, and a ceremony filled with meaningful touches like handwritten vows or heirloom pieces. Colours like ivory, silver, and moonlight blue appeal to her.” Inbaal adds, “sensitive and considerate, those born under the sign of the crab will express their emotions through soft bluish hues, ribbons, and lace (perfectly captures Cancerian romance).” Drop-waists and tulle skirts embody their dreamy princess-vibe. TAURUS (APRIL 20 – MAY 20) “The Taurus bride gravitates towards classic styles, natural beauty, and luxurious details. Think flowing fabrics with flawless textures, perhaps adorned with delicate floral embellishments. Her colour palette often leans towards earthy tones, along with soft pastels that reflect a connection to nature. Keep an eye out for gentle pink notes,” shares Hollie. Inbaal adds, “ruled by Venus, planet of love and beauty, those born under the sign of the bull love pretty things; the more beautiful, the better! Wearing something exquisitely crafted is a full-body thrill – they seek crystal-studded details, pearls, and rich plissé textures. Comfort is optional, luxury is non-negotiable!” GEMINI (MAY 21 – JUNE 20) “The Gemini bride is playful, curious, and bursting with charm. She’s the social butterfly of the zodiacs, so expect a celebration that’s fun, full of surprises, and keeps guests talking. Her wedding might include a variety of experiences – perhaps interactive food stations, photo booths, or quirky entertainment. She favours bright, vibrant colours like yellow or lavender, and her look might include dual elements – a convertible dress, or an outfit change from ceremony to reception,” explains Hollie. “Fun-loving and playful, those born under the sign of the twins prefer shorter, lighter styles that don’t get in the way of the party,” shares Inbaal. Gemini’s dual nature suits convertible designs and shimmering textures that move with them, such as detachable trains or overskirts. LEO (JULY 23 – AUGUST 22) “The Leo bride is all about grandeur, glamour, and being centre stage… and rightly so! She brings the drama in the best way, with a lavish celebration that dazzles from start to finish. They adore gold accents, luxurious fabrics, and a show-stopping gown,” comments Hollie. Inbaal says, “proud and bold, those born under the sign of the lion naturally shine brightest in gold tones, shimmering fabrics, and designs that reveal a hint of skin.” To capture true Leo energy, opt for corsets with exposed boning, striking mermaid silhouettes, and sharp cat-eye necklines that demand attention. Sparkling embellishments that catch the light with every confident move are essential, especially in rich golden hues. SCORPIO (OCTOBER 23 – NOVEMBER 21) Hollie says, “as a Scorpio myself, me and my fellow Scorpio brides are magnetic, mysterious, and intensely passionate. Our wedding would be deeply emotional and personal, with a sultry, moody vibe that captivates. You would see us lean into rich colours – burgundy, black, deep plum, and dramatic details like candlelight, velvet textures, and sensual scents” Inbaal adds to this, “to capture Scorpio’s magnetic energy, you’ll need rich textures and dramatic silhouettes, high-neck or halter designs with daring cutouts that balance mystery and elegance. Asymmetrical hemlines add intrigue by revealing and concealing in equal measure. VIRGO (AUGUST 23 – SEPTEMBER 22) Hollie says, “the Virgo bride is sophisticated, detail-oriented, and effortlessly elegant. She plans every element of her wedding with precision and care, ensuring the event runs seamlessly. Her style leans minimalist with a touch of vintage or natural chic. Think crisp whites, muted greens, and gentle neutrals. She favours meaningful over flashy, with sustainable choices and intentional design”. Inbaal adds, “meticulous and neat, those born under the sign of the virgin enjoy looking the part. If they’re stepping into the big day as the bride, they’d like their whole look to express that.” Virgos favour timeless elegance, we’re talking Victorian-inspired basque waists paired with symmetrical A-line skirts for a clean, classic silhouette. Lace toppers add a whimsical, personal touch without sacrificing structure. For warmer weather, lighter fabrics like precision-cut organza keep the look polished and comfortable. LIBRA (SEPTEMBER 23 – OCTOBER 22) “The Libra bride is the ultimate romantic. Graceful, balanced, and with an innate sense of style. Her wedding is a celebration of beauty and love, often with ethereal décor and a dreamy, harmonious vibe. Blush tones, soft blues, and elegant neutrals highlight their nuptials,” comments Hollie. Libras draw inspiration from vintage wedding photos and timeless journals, blending classic charm with modern style. A flowing ball gown perfectly captures their refined taste says Inbaal. Vintage-inspired touches like jewelled hairpins or a delicate tiara add just the right amount of sparkle. shutterstock.com/g/canonguy jonathanborba.46graus.com shutterstock.com/g/Irina+Alexandrovna FASHION 43

SAGITTARIUS (NOVEMBER 22 – DECEMBER 21) “The Sagittarius bride is adventurous, free-spirited, and full of joy. Her wedding often breaks from tradition, opting for outdoor settings, or unconventional themes. Her style is boho or eclectic, with vibrant patterns, flowing fabrics, and global influences. Her colour palette might include bold hues like turquoise, magenta, or burnt orange” comments Hollie. Inbaal belives “those born under the archer love celebrating in unique style. Playful details like capes or peekaboo hems make them feel festivalready.” Sagittarians shine in movement-friendly dresses like bubble hems, and flowing chiffon material. Feather accents and bridal neck scarves add a boho touch, perfect outdoors weddings, where every movement in the breeze brings the dress to life. PISCES (FEBRUARY 19 – MARCH 20) Hollie says, “the Pisces bride is dreamy, artistic, and deeply emotional. Her wedding is like a fairytale! Soft lighting, flowing fabrics, and romantic florals. Water is often a theme, so lakeside or coastal venues are perfect. Her colour palette includes soft blues, lavender, and seafoam green. We’re talking candlelit ceremonies, whimsical installations, and touches of fantasy.” “Romantic and dreamy, those born under the sign of the fish have been planning their dress since they were small. Embroidery and beading will come into the present for the Pisces dress; brides should look for flowing silks or plissé fabrics that mimic water’s movement,” comments Inbaal. CAPRICORN (DECEMBER 22 – JANUARY 19) Hollie says, “the Capricorn bride is classic, refined, and grounded. She values tradition but executes it with impeccable taste and timeless elegance. Her colour scheme might feature hues of navy, forest green, or rich neutrals.” “Ambitious and focused, those born under the sign of the seagoat know the trends and want to excel at them. Straight, clean lines and smooth finishes are the Capricorn way, and they adore an opulent look. To channel this, Capricorns should look to trending drop-waist silhouettes and sharp cat-eye necklines for a crisp, fashion-forward edge. Structured fabrics like Mikado reflect their love for luxury, while crepe offers a polished finish that stays breathable for summer wedding ceremonies,” comments Inbaal. AQUARIUS (JANUARY 20 – FEBRUARY 18) “The Aquarius bride is unconventional, creative, and totally original. Her wedding is a one-of-a-kind event that reflects her individuality – expect modern art, quirky elements, and bold statements. Her look may be futuristic or vintage-inspired, and her colour palette includes electric blues, purples, or metallics,” defines Hollie. Inbaal adds, “individualistic and creative, those born under the sign of the water-bearer are inspired by nature and faraway cultures. Flora, fauna or tribal touches will make Aquarius feel like all their fantasies come true on their special day. To capture Aquarians’ creative energy, consider innovative silhouettes like bubble hems or fishtails. Incorporate unique textures with unexpected materials – textured feathers that transform like elements of nature, or flowing organza. Look for botanical embroidery that complements their visionary style. “Spring and summer settings perfectly complement these nature-inspired designs, allowing local flora to enhance both dress and décor seamlessly.” unsplash.com.@aranprime Meet the experts Hollie Lewis, wedding and events manager at The Post Barn - thepostbarn.co.uk | Inbaal Honigman, celebrity astrologer - inbaal.com (collab with Destify) alli.studio shutterstock.com/g/Ruvinska+Tetiana All zodiac images courtesy of damppstudio.com 44
