This award-winning business has scooped Gold for Dog-Friendly Business of the Year, alongside Wedding Venue of the Year. 2023 marked 10 years of weddings hosted at Kilminorth, and the first year nominated within the Wedding Venue of the Year category. For couples tying the knot at Kilminorth, they are offered full venue exclusivity if they wish, and the choice of a three-day extravaganza, a one-day celebration, or a small intimate elopement. Events manager, Cassie, encourages all couples to get creative, and have the day of their dreams - the options are truly limitless. Kilminorth has very recently invested in a brand new commercial kitchen, attached to their clear-top marquee, which enhances their wedding offering. Couples are welcome to bring in their own caterers to use these facilities, or Kilminorth can provide caterers. Kilminorth had also won both Bronze and Silver within the dog-friendly category in previous years but continued to strive to improve their offering. They started stocking dog-friendly ice cream and beer in their newly built “Marley’s Bar”, named after owner Jayne’s gorgeous black labrador, who loved his spot here, overlooking the gorgeous green valley. Kilminorth are now supplying their furry friends with branded tennis balls too, so a game of fetch has never been easier - they’ve supplied the goods and the grounds! Cottages are newly equipped with luxury dog beds from Poppy & Teds, a new wholesale partner and their products can be purchased at reception. They have also hosted a couple of fundraisers for The Cinnamon Trust this year, with regular dog meet-ups in the diary for 2024. Funds raised will help elderly people take care of their pets, providing vital and loving care. Owner Jayne said, “To win double gold on the night left us all speechless, and truly overwhelmed. We work extremely hard to provide the very best for all of our guests, and it’s a pleasure to witness so many beautiful memories made here, whether this be with four-legged friends on a staycation, or families as they watch loved ones tie the knot. Whilst this is a huge achievement, we’re continuing to work hard, looking at what additional improvements we can make, and aim to be the best dog-friendly staycation and wedding venue in Cornwall, and beyond. Next stop - the South West Tourism Awards.” https://kilminorth.co.uk www.noahwerth.co.uk www.idofilmandphotos.co.uk What’s new?
