DEVON’S GIDLEIGH PARK RETAINS ITS MICHELIN STAR The team at Gidleigh Park and executive head chef Chris Eden are celebrating the news that Gidleigh Park has retained its Michelin star, following the release of the Michelin Guide 2024. Chris Eden commented, “We’ve had a great year at Gidleigh Park and we are all delighted to have retained our Michelin star. I’m continually proud to head up Gidleigh Park’s kitchen and to work with such a brilliant team. We’re incredibly lucky that each day we get to showcase the beautiful produce we have in the West Country, and I’m delighted that the great feedback we’ve received from guests this year has been followed by this news tonight.” Simon Franks, regional general manager of Andrew Brownsword Hotels commented, “Chris works pure magic in the kitchen and the delight his menus continually deliver to our guests is a testament to his skill, and his leadership of such a talented team. Congratulations to everyone at Gidleigh Park!” Chris joined the team at Gidleigh Park in 2019, bringing along his produce-led ethos to the kitchen there. Chris first won a Michelin star at Gidleigh Park in 2023 and is a champion of local producers, handling ingredients with exceptional skill and care, with the seasonal bounty from the hotel’s kitchen garden also regularly informing Chris’ menus. The restaurant at Gidleigh Park is open for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, and a brand new lunch menu is now also on offer on Friday and Saturday.
