Your Devon and Cornwall Wedding - September/October 2022 (Issue 39)

Rosie and Josh chose a two-tiered drip cake decorated with fresh roses on top and pink drip icing. “One layer was a Victoria sponge which is Josh’s favourite and the other was a chocolate cake which is my favourite cake,” Rosie says. They also had a sweetie table that went down a treat with their guests! The talented team at The Two Bridges provided mouthwatering catering. “We had vegetable velouté or salmon to start followed by roast pork or beef as the main course and a chocolate trio or seasonal fruit trifle as dessert,” Rosie tells us. LOOKING THE PART Rosie chose a pretty ivory A-line wedding dress. “I loved the sweetheart necklace and lace detail on the back,” she tells us. “I also wore a tiara purchased from Disneyland Paris, a pearl necklace that Josh gifted to me on the day from Tiffany & Co and my Pandora bracelet.” Josh wore a navy check three-piece suit with brown shoes while his groomsmen wore the same suits in a slightly darker shade. “Our beautiful bridesmaids wore long lace dresses in sage green and my maid-of-honour wore a mint green gown,” Rosie says. TIME TO CELEBRATE The couple hired a DJ to play during the evening reception. “My friend was supposed to sing three songs including our first dance but she contracted Covid before our special day,” Rosie tells us. “Everybody got up and danced to our first dance which was to Can’t Take My Eyes Off You by The Overtones.” “Our photographer, Louise, was amazing. If she hadn’t organised us all, we wouldn’t have made it to the church on time! Our couple portraits on Dartmoor looked fantastic!” — Rosie and Josh 43 REAL WEDDINGS
