Harriet and Pete met at a Navy cadet camp as teenagers. “By coincidence, we attended the same university and bumped into each other at fresher’s week!” Harriet tells us. The couple became engaged during a surprise proposal in Venice. “We had visited Venice previously on our first holiday together,” Harriet explains. “When we went back, we took a gondola trip and it was then that Pete asked me to marry him which was a complete surprise, I had never thought that he would propose!” Here Harriet tells us all about their ceremony at Beesands Beach in South Devon followed by a rustic-inspired reception at The Grain Store.
