The Panelled Hall that opens out on to the balustrade features carved wooden pillars and a magnificent fireplace. Other areas, including the bar, are decorated with a more contemporary feel with a vintage twist. The Old Refectory, ideal for larger weddings, features a beautiful parquet floor and reclaimed wood feature wall. During the evening reception, it sets the stage for a band or disco. Ceremonies take place in The Panelled Hall with far-flung views across the valley to Codden Hill. The 16th-century Elizabethan Gatehouse, with its original wooden doors, is a superb choice for an outdoor wedding and there’s also the option of St Peter’s Church just a two-minute walk from the bottom of the garden. This wedding, event and holiday venue is home to 11 stylish en suite bedrooms and a choice of reception rooms with period features.
