Your Cheshire and Merseyside Wedding - May/June 2025 (Issue 81)

We had a baby three months after getting married, so have still not been on honeymoon officially, but it’s in the works! We did slope off to Glastonbury the week after the wedding though. Before finding out we were having a baby, we had honeymoon dreams of Patagonia or Japan. We’re now thinking maybe somewhere closer to home might be better! We loved our suppliers, but it was the venue and setting that really set our day apart. Jenny from Swanley Meadows was brilliant from start to finish and absolutely went above and beyond to give us the most special day. There were some nerves, but I think we both felt more relaxed than we were expecting to since everything had been so well planned and organised by our venue, Swanley Meadows. It was great fun, and everyone made excuses to use it! Among some of its best uses were taking our photographers to locations around the site for couple shots and ferrying drunk guests at the end of the night! We had a DJ who played a mix of music and kept everyone on the dancefloor. Later on, as things got chillier, we had firepits and s’mores. My top tip would be to engage with suppliers you fully trust and truly believe are bought into your day. 28
