Your Cheshire and Merseyside Wedding - Page number 30 - September/October 2021 (Issue 59)

The ceremony took place in the church I attended as a child, St Mary’s Woolton. My mum and dad got married there, as did my auntie. In fact, Cilla Black also tied the knot there! We settled on The Century Pavilion at Liverpool Cricket Ground for the reception after falling in love with its impressive windows, which allow plenty of natural light to flood the space, before transforming at sunset. The cricket pitch itself was also a bonus, as the children could entertain themselves there creating the relaxed family vibe we were looking for. I wore a light blue checked suit from House of Cavani, with a blush tie. My groomsmen dressed in dark navy suits with matching ties and waistcoats that complemented my attire. Amy wore an Essense of Australia dress ( D3066 ). It was a sparkling fit and flare with a plunging V-neckline, thin straps and side cut-outs. She accessorised with a Linzi Jay veil, diamond tennis bracelet and diamond stud earrings. Both Amy and I were surprisingly relaxed on the day and just excited to see each other at the altar. Turning around to see Amy walking down the aisle towards me looking unbelievable was a real highlight for me. The bridesmaids’ dresses were blush pink and full-length, in a Grecian style with a slit. 30
