We went for seasonal flowers to fit with our festiv e theme, so we opted for a mix of white blooms su ch as bouvardia, roses, jasmine sprigs and freesias, a ll accented with eucalyptus and blue thistle. Our homemade confetti featured rose petals from my pa rents’ garden and lavender from the souk in Duba i. We wanted a Christmas wedding, and we knew that the timeless Coombe Lodge would look beautiful in winter with candlelight, open fires and festive decor. Logistically, it was perfect as our family could stay with us and we didn’t have to travel between venues. 38
