MAUNSEL HOUSE 01278 661 076 | www.maunselhouse.co.uk WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT? Maunsel House is found in 100 acres of grounds including stunning gardens, orchards and lakes. The venue is hidden away behind a driveway of chestnut trees and is surrounded by quintessentially English country gardens, which include a pergola and bandstand, walled garden and Victorian kitchen and herb garden. Visitors will love seeing the resident peacocks, Shetland ponies and other creatures roaming free. The main entrance is draped in wisteria while climbing roses creep up the house. Inside, it has a brilliantly eccentric feel with its eclectic mix of interiors and memorabilia. The house has 13 luxury bedrooms, all of which ooze charm. LET’S CELEBRATE! There are many beautiful settings for vows. The Regency Ballroom (up to 180 guests with extension marquee) gives a sumptuous feel with its gold curtains and gilded mirrors, while the undercover Pergola (180 guests) offers a picturesque spot for nuptials. Smaller parties should consider the beautifully decorated Dining Room (35 guests) or St Michael’s Church (50 guests). The Regency Ballroom and Pergola are wonderful reception areas, while the bar within the main house is a great focal point for parties with its pub-like atmosphere. WE LOVE… A dedicated wedding coordinator is allocated to each couple. If travelling from a great distance for planning meetings, nearlyweds are offered self-catering accommodation for the night. THE ORANGERY AT GOLDNEY HOUSE 0117 428 4000 | www.bristol.ac.uk/venues/weddings WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT? Nestled within romantic walled gardens, the enchanting Orangery at Goldney House is a timelessly elegant venue overlooking the city and providing an oasis of calm away from the everyday buzz of Bristol. With a Georgian folly, a shell grotto and ornate water feature, guests can enjoy the serenity of this beautiful space. The Orangery is a historic wisteria-clad building with original stone floors, high ceilings and wonderfully large windows that let in an abundance of light. It benefits from French-style doors that can be opened up on a warm day to let the outside in. There’s also an exclusive area for the newlyweds to take a breath and freshen up during the day. LET’S CELEBRATE! Ceremonies are held in several spaces, from the intimate Rotunda (14 guests), to the elegant Georgian Drawing Room and Wills Reception Room (80 guests). Most receptions take pace in The Orangery (110 day guests and 150 evening guests), but there’s also smaller settings for groups of between 12 and 50 people. WE LOVE… The historical grotto, which is encrusted in shells and quartz, can be hired during your drinks reception as something different for guests to enjoy. www.lucy davenport.co.uk www.sim onbiffenphotography.co.uk THEMED VENUES 27
