He kept asking me to go out with him but I was nervous and pulled out of our first date. He carried on asking me and I finally decided to go which is when we discovered that there was something special between us.” They became engaged during a trip to New York in December 2019. “Alfie proposed in Central Park, outside Belvedere Castle the day before my 22nd birthday which was a wonderful surprise,” Hannah says. “I had always maintained that he could propose when I turned 22 so he was one day early! The best thing about the location was being able to walk straight into Tiffany & Co. afterwards to get the ring resized in one day rather than having to wait!” Hannah and Alfie Shrewsbury married on 14th May 2022 at St Lauds Church in Sherington followed by a reception at Hotel La Tour in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. 33 REAL WEDDINGS
