Your Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wedding - October/November (Issue 97)

LOOKING THE PART Samaire was torn between an A-line dress and a fit ‘n flare style. “I knew that I wanted something with a high neck so I tried on quite a few dresses and saved the best till last!” She tells us. “The style I chose was D2775 by Essense of Australia.” Barry wore a blue check three-piece suit by Marc Darcy with a soft green tie and pocket square and Erinn chose an A-line, floor-length chiffon and lace dress in sage green. TIME TO CELEBRATE The venue provided guests with plenty of entertainment in the form of rides on the steam train, access to the museum and also the miniature railway which was a big hit. “The miniature railway showcases toys from days gone by so everybody felt like a child again!” the couple tells us. “We hired the live musician Patrick Foley who sang a mix of his own songs and plenty of covers. Everyone commented how good he was attempting to play requests even when he didn’t know the songs. We also had an unexpected flyover from a Spitfire who put on a real show. Some of our guests thought it was planned but it wasn’t!” 46
