We had a stunning flower arch as our ceremony backdrop that we moved to our wedding reception. When we were originally planning to get married in Italy, we had hired a string trio to play as I walke d down the aisle and during the drinks reception so we decided to keep this idea and are pleased we di d because the music sounded wonderful. I arrived at the ceremony in a vintage car with my mum and dad, and my bridesmaids travelled in a similar vehicle. The car company suggested that after our ceremony, Max and I should enjoy our fi rst journey as a married couple which was a great idea because we got to b e together, just the two of us, for 15 minutes to enjoy a glass of champag ne and catch up. It was probably one of my favourite parts of the day and our driver was great! Stanlake Park is located on a vineyard so we could incorporate part of the Italian theme we had planned. We booked it with only six weeks to go! One of my bridesmaids, Amelia, sent us a few venue suggestions local to my family home and I fell in love with Stanlake Park. It looked beautiful and had many different areas to enjoy. We had originally planned to get married at Villa Catignano in Tuscany, but after planning our wedding for two years, we d ecided to cancel at the last minute due to the pandemic and book a weddi ng in the UK instead. 38
