WOOLLEY PARK (ON THE WOOLLEY ESTATE), OXFORDSHIRE This historic house set in amongst the formal lawns with extensive views of the parkland and valley below boasts a selection of grand opulent rooms with a feature staircase which is the ideal spot to have big-day photographs taken. The elegant Drawing Room, designed in 1841, features large mirrors and gold gilding to replicate a French salon. The main marquee area is across a small bridge from the house surrounded by a pretty walled garden, perfect for hosting smaller weddings. It was traditionally used for growing vegetables for the main house and is now completely enclosed and private with pergolas, arches, tree-lined avenues and floral borders. Guest accommodation is also available here in either a modern cabin or traditional potting shed. Another outdoor option for a celebrant-led ceremony is the woodland clearing where an unlimited number of guests can gather. Receptions, like celebrant-led ceremonies, can take place anywhere across the estate for an unlimited number outside, and up to 30 loved ones inside although the most popular location is in the park in front of the house. This features the backdrop of the house on one side and trees around the others. There’s also the Cowleaze perched on top of a hill next to the woodland area with views across to the nearby villages.
