Q&A Beauty Our experts reveal all ALL MADE UP Meet the expert: Rosie Scott is a hair and make-up artist based in Berkshire specialising in bridal, shoots, fashion editorial, television, film and music videos. I need some inspiration! What are the bridal hair and make-up trends for this winter when I’m getting married? Rosie says: Winter wedding trends for hair and make-up are all about enhancing your natural style and glow. A year of wearing face coverings has influenced the trend for effortless style with great skin and a focus on the eyes. Natural brows, subtle lashes, light smokey eyeshadow and a soft lipstick shade or gloss will help to keep your look fresh and modern. For a contemporary winter look, you could opt for a natural eye and a stronger lip in a red or berry shade which is very seasonal. Hairstyles are also trending towards a more relaxed vibe with low ponytails and casual buns. A half-up, half-down style with loose curls and simple accessories also never dates. Remember that your wedding is all about you and your style so you must feel comfortable and confident with the looks that you choose regardless of the trends. She has more than 20 years of experience and has been involved in the BAFTAS and London Fashion Week. I want to wear a bright lipstick shade or bold eye make-up at my winter wedding, do you have any tips for these statement looks? Pam says: A bright lip can add a perfect pop of colour. If you’re keen to choose this vibrant look, keep the rest of your face natural and pick your colour with caution! It must suit your skin tone or the result will be less than flattering. You can be as brave as you want and don’t be put off by age, if you’re a mature bride who loves the idea of a bright lip then go for it! The smoky eye is a classic wedding look and you might want to mix it up a little - there are two ways to add colour to your eyes. You can go all out and pick a bright, bold eyeshadow that is modern, daring and fun. If that seems intimidating then opt for a coloured eyeliner for a subtle hint of colour instead. www.face book.com/Vaughanstephensphotograp hy EXPERT ADVICE 79
