Your Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wedding - August/September 2026 (Issue 120)

Wasing Park in Aldermaston announces the date of its next Wedding Showcase Set within 4,000 acres of pristine woodland and parkland, Wasing Park offers a setting for celebrations rich in style, immersed in nature, and committed to sustainability. Romantic farm buildings sit at the heart of this award-winning wedding venue, including the Grade II listed Castle Barn, and a fairytale-inspired Dovecote – there’s also the charming Parish Church of St Nicholas that can accommodate up to 120 guests. Up to 160 guests can gather for a ceremony in the Garden Room, where floor-to-ceiling glass doors flood the space with natural light and offer glimpses of the historic Castle Barn where receptions take place. Up to 160 guests can be seated here for the wedding breakfast, and 250 party-goers can enjoy the evening reception. Outside, a flowing stretch tent over the terrace and outdoor kitchen allows for year-round al fresco dining, where chefs prepare delicious dishes using the firepit and wood-fired oven. The festivities can be continued in the Stables Lodge, a decadent post-party bar offering a cosy setting. Couples dreaming of an al fresco ceremony can exchange their vows in the Victorian Summerhouse in front of 160 guests framed by ancient trees and sweeping countryside. Its stunning hand-painted murals are inspired by the estate’s flora and fauna. There are 26 individually designed bedrooms blending character with modern comforts. The spacious Honeymoon Suite features the biggest bed in Berkshire and a sumptuous roll-top bath set against panoramic views. Other highlights include The Granary – originally the estate’s grain store and still perched on its original staddle stones – which offers a charming suite with room for four people and an impressive copper bathtub. The Smithy, a former blacksmith’s workshop, comes complete with a super-king bed and spacious en-suite. There’s also The Dovecote, with its unique circular design and custom triangular bed, and 17 other guest rooms spread across the Stables, the Mews and the Pump House. The happy couple can enjoy a complimentary stay in the Bridal Cottage. Couples can surprise guests with thoughtful gifts, from mini bottles of award-winning Wasing Gin, infused with botanicals gathered from the Walled Garden and hedgerows, or jars of Wasing Honey harvested from the estate’s own hives. Wasing Park offers bespoke 2-to-3-day wedding experiences where couples can enjoy extended celebrations with a host of activities from welcome dinners and lakeside yoga to enchanting moonlit performances. Think garden games, picnics with Pimms in the woods, or a cricket match at Wasing’s Cricket Pavilion. The finest locally sourced cuisine is offered with Wasing’s sustainable estate-to-plate menu, featuring nose-to-tail offerings made with beef sourced from the estate’s organic farm. The venue caters for up to 160 guests for dining, with evening parties welcoming up to 250 loved ones. Wasing Park offers exclusive access to its secluded woodland lake, a serene escape into nature before the big day. Couples can choose from experiences including wild swimming, ice baths, a wood-fired sauna and massage therapy. The venue also hosts private appointments throughout the year, allowing couples to explore and meet the team. In January and September, the venue hosts its signature wedding showcase events, where couples can view the venue set up for a wedding, meet a hand-picked selection of trusted suppliers, and enjoy delicious seasonal food and drink. Couples can join the next showcase taking place on Sunday 27th and Monday 28th of September 2026. wasing.co.uk/wedding-venue instagram.com/wasing1759 Berkshire BEAUTY nadinelorettaphotography.com studiorouge.co.uk 31
