For our ceremony, we had several floral arrangements that combined elegant greenery with various white flower varieties.” The couple and their guests tucked into delicious dining courtesy of Oxford Fine Dining. “Everyone enjoyed canapés during cocktail hour and dishes of tomato, pesto and cheese soufflé; beef wellington or salmon,” Darcy says. “For dessert, we had a dulce de leche cheesecake, which was the best I’ve tasted in my life. We also had a small but beautiful cake with red velvet and Biscoff layers.” Darcy wore the Fortune Marie gown by Maggie Sottero. “When I tried it on, it was the first time I felt like a bride,” she says. “It was also very suited to our venue choice. Zak complemented my dress by wearing a tuxedo.” To entertain their guests who had flown in especially from the USA, Darcy and Zak had a string quartet. “We are movie fans, so the quartet put together an arrangement for us of different movie soundtracks, which was a huge hit with our guests,” Darcy tells us. “After dinner, we had a DJ who kept the party going throughout the night.” REAL WEDDINGS 33
