Sam and Nick married on the 17th of August 2024 at Rackleys Chiltern Hills in Buckinghamshire. “We met on a night out,” Sam tells us. “I was with my girlfriends, and Nick was with his friends. I tapped him on the shoulder and told him he was just my type! We spent the rest of the evening talking and getting to know one another.” Nick proposed to Sam in Crete during a family holiday. “We were at dinner with our sons and friends,” Sam says. “The waiter carried over a plate with a ring on it, saying, ‘Will you marry me?’ and Nick was on one knee. I couldn’t stop crying – it was a magical moment.” The venue is located 15 minutes from where the couple lives. “We wanted something close by, so we viewed Rackleys Chiltern Hills and both fell in love with the place,” Sam says. “We didn’t need to see anywhere else.” The couple styled their summer wedding in yellow and black with plenty of bee decorations. “We love bees,” Sam tells us. Our bridal party wore black while the decor and flowers were yellow, and our favours were jars of honey.” The couple and their guests tucked into a 34
