Historic Buckinghamshire wedding venue Chicheley Hall provides a timeless setting for fairytale-inspired weddings Nestled within 80 acres of peaceful parkland and formal gardens designed by George London and Henry Wise, Chicheley Hall in Newport Pagnell is one of Buckinghamshire’s most romantic and elegant wedding venues. It sits within an estate that’s home to a lake and a canal, as well as a lime tree avenue and a Grade II-listed dovecote, which frame the approach. The main house has been used for filming, featuring in Pride and Prejudice and other notable productions. Inside the main house, the double-height Great Hall boasts tall sash windows that fill the space with natural daylight. There’s classical panelling, marble columns and a statement ceiling, plus a stunning oak staircase that leads to the upper floors, where a hidden library is concealed behind faux panelling. Ceremonies take place in the Great Hall for up to 80 guests, while 180 loved ones can be hosted for the reception. Larger weddings can enjoy a marquee in the beautiful grounds where up to 600 loved ones can gather and alternative al fresco ceremony spots include outside the front of the house, and under the arbour. In-house chefs create delicious dishes using seasonal ingredients for the wedding breakfast for up to 80 people. Mains include Somerset brie wellington and Baltic sea bass fillet. The evening buffet can include sandwiches, a hot savoury selection and mini desserts. There’s also a barbecue and hog roast menu plus a choice of pizzas.
