Yes, it’s that magical time of the year once again! I’m not sure about you, but this year has passed quickly for me, and fortunately, it has been a wonderful one. I’m blessed to be a proud auntie to my second little nephew, Titus Eli, who arrived safely into the world in April this year - the best present ever! I’ve also been lucky enough to experience some memorable trips and experiences, including to Sardinia, Nashville (a bucket list holiday), and closer to home in Newquay. THE FARM Down on Bex and George’s English country wedding took place on Saturday 9th August 2025 at Stonepit Cellar with wine produced by Stonepit Vineyard Images courtesy of The Photography Mill Bex and George met at their best friend’s wedding, where she was the maid-of-honour and he was the best man. “I proposed to Bex in our stables surrounded by our animals and our dog,” George tells us. The couple chose Stonepit Cellar as their wedding venue, owned by George’s aunt Fiona and her husband John. “It’s close to the church of the village that we live in,” George tells us. “The view across to Olney is beautiful, and we wanted to feel like we were celebrating in a natural meadow to let our pygmy goats run around. My aunt and uncle also have their own vineyard, so we were able to enjoy locally produced wine.” Bex and George’s special day enjoyed a taupe, rust and cream colour theme to tie in with the rustic venue. “We used local suppliers to help create our dream day, including a team of florists whom we know, and we also did a lot of the planning ourselves,” they tell us. “We wanted a Turkish and Greek-style menu, and Martin from Chill Pepper Event Catering did an amazing job. Our guests loved the award-winning crepe van, La Crêpe Franglaise.” Bex chose a beautiful wedding dress from Gloucestershire-based White Canvas, which was altered by Adriana’s Bridal in Milton Keynes. “Our bridesmaids wore full-length dusky pink dresses and our groomsmen looked great in their taupe two-piece suits teamed with white shirts,” Bex says. The couple entertained their guests with garden games, including giant jenga, plus they had vintage tractors for their guests to climb on. “Our goats were a highlight,” Bex says. “They accompanied us into our reception to The Lonely Goatherd from The Sound of Music.” REAL WEDDINGS 27

Sam and Nick married on the 17th of August 2024 at Rackleys Chiltern Hills in Buckinghamshire. “We met on a night out,” Sam tells us. “I was with my girlfriends, and Nick was with his friends. I tapped him on the shoulder and told him he was just my type! We spent the rest of the evening talking and getting to know one another.” Nick proposed to Sam in Crete during a family holiday. “We were at dinner with our sons and friends,” Sam says. “The waiter carried over a plate with a ring on it, saying, ‘Will you marry me?’ and Nick was on one knee. I couldn’t stop crying – it was a magical moment.” The venue is located 15 minutes from where the couple lives. “We wanted something close by, so we viewed Rackleys Chiltern Hills and both fell in love with the place,” Sam says. “We didn’t need to see anywhere else.” The couple styled their summer wedding in yellow and black with plenty of bee decorations. “We love bees,” Sam tells us. Our bridal party wore black while the decor and flowers were yellow, and our favours were jars of honey.” The couple and their guests tucked into a 34
barbecue buffet at lunchtime. “We had an ice cream van in the afternoon, along with a sweetie cart, and during the evening, we had bacon and sausage baps with chips,” Sam tells us. “Everybody loved our dessert table with our wedding cake and sweet treats.” Sam wore a gown by Pronovias. “I had tried on a few dresses from different shops, but I couldn’t find anything I loved,” she tells us. “I left it for a few months, then my friend took me to London. We visited Pronovias, where I loved the first dress I tried on because it was simple and elegant, which is what I wanted.” Nick wore black trousers with a white jacket and a yellow cravat, and the couple’s groomsmen wore tuxedos. “Our bridesmaids wore long black dresses in a style they all wanted,” Sam says. Sam and Nick hired a harpist to play during their ceremony and a bagpiper. “We also had a mariachi band performing during the afternoon, which our guests told us was a highlight of the day,” Sam says. “We wanted everybody to enjoy our wedding day, so we also had a magician, a children’s entertainer, a photo booth, a casino, a live band, and a DJ to entertain everyone.” REAL WEDDINGS 35

I will never forget the first wedding I performed at in my hometown in Pembrokeshire when I was just sixteen years old. I played during the ceremony, drinks reception, and wedding breakfast, and I remember feeling so privileged to have been chosen for such a significant occasion. I have six wedding packages available, covering everything from performing during the ceremony to entertaining guests at the drinks reception and during the wedding breakfast.
