Whether that be a photo-free ceremony or limiting social media usage throughout the day until the couple has posted pictures themselves. This may be a tricky conversation for the couple to have with their guests so I incorporate it into my welcome introduction. Rather than it being about following rules, it’s about being more present and in the moment, connecting with the ceremony itself. The ceremony is carefully considered and each word is meaningful. A big reveal - I’ve seen an increase in couples trusting me to reveal a well-kept secret to their family and friends. It can come as a great surprise to hear that the couple have been married for some time before their wedding celebration ceremony and no one knew about it! One couple had a Minimony whilst on holiday in Las Vegas six months before their official wedding day! They had some wonderful photos taken to share with their guests. Even the mother and father of the bride knew nothing about it. Personal poetry - whether written by a family member or a commission poet, several weddings this year feature a highly personalised unique poem about the wedding couple. It’s a wonderful way to tell their love story with humour. Sustainability - in the wedding industry in general, there’s an increase in conversations about sustainability. For some couples, choosing suppliers that have a sustainable business is a priority and as a couple, think about inventive ways to reduce waste.
