As evening fell, dinner at the Castle View Restaurant provided a wonderfully relaxed yet refined close to the day. Thoughtfully designed to complement its historic surroundings, the space feels both elegant and welcoming. The team were especially accommodating, ensuring our son was comfortable so we could fully enjoy the experience. With serene lake views as our backdrop, we settled into a delicious meal, comforting classics executed to a high standard, and the perfect accompaniment to such a special setting. A gentle walk back to the Maiden’s Tower under the evening sky only added to the magic. The castle takes on a different kind of beauty at night, it’s quiet, atmospheric and deeply romantic. A long soak in the bath and a peaceful night’s sleep left us feeling completely refreshed by morning. Breakfast the following day was equally enjoyable, with soft natural light pouring into the restaurant and enhancing those already stunning views. A relaxed start with a mix of continental options and freshly prepared dishes set us up perfectly for the journey home. Before departing, a glimpse inside the castle itself offered a final reminder of its timeless appeal.
