An Essex Wedding - March/April 2024 (Issue 115)

The centrepieces were a combination of large martini glasses and large tumblers filled with gourds, mini pumpkins, squashes, fairylights and candles. A real autumnal selection. The favours were little bags with a mixture of all orange smarties and little Halloween treats, such as chocolate eyeballs! To say there was pumpkins everywhere would be an understatement! They were so impactful and everyone loved them. The children all ended up playing with them. The cake was three tiered, in a midnight blue with orange and red flowers climbing up the cake. The flowers were all yellows, oranges and reds and put together by my mum. She created some beautiful pieces where the flowers sat in pumpkins, so it was like the bottom of the pumpkin was the vase! These were placed by the entrance to the barn and really set the scene for what was to be behind the doors! Table plan Alex did physics at university and is obsessed with the night sky and constellations, so we named each table after a constellation, with the table plan being in midnight blue and gold constellation decor. www.facebook.com/bobbie.stant REAL WEDDINGS 45
