The pair matched on Tinder and everything progressed from there. Ed was studying a fouryear course and Lauren was doing a three-year course. However, a last-minute decision to stay on to do a Masters, meant that the two crossed paths. It was certainly meant to be! Ed proposed in New York in December 2022. Lauren explains, “The proposal was and wasn’t a surprise; we had spoken about wanting to get engaged for about a year. I had told Ed what ring I liked and he said he’d propose by the end of 2022. When it got to December, I thought there wasn’t much time left so he’d better get a move on and propose in New York!
