What would have been the traditional ballroom in the old Mansion House is now a neutral, bright and beautiful blank canvas with windows and doors opening out onto a patio and front garden, overlooking the Deer Park. It has a capacity of up to 100. The Drawing room, a traditionally decorated, large but intimate room is perfect for small ceremonies especially on cold evenings, lit with a cosy grand fireplace it has capacity for up to 50. For larger ceremonies, the Pavilion is a bright room adorned with fairylights and chandeliers. Two double doors lead out onto the back garden and moat – and holds a capacity up to 500. For an outdoor ceremony you can marry in the Gazebo, a perfect backdrop to make memories. It can be decorated to suit any wedding theme or still looks simply stunning with no dressing at all. Dating back to 1927, Braintree Town Hall provides a memorable setting for weddings. Originally a gift to the town from the Courtauld family, this impressive Georgian building boasts beautiful windows and detailing, all in the heart of the town centre. Inside, have photos taken on the sweeping staircase, before admiring the crafted stone pillars, yet another ideal backdrop for beautiful pictures. Time to celebrate Ceremonies take place in the Lounge Room, for small intimate gatherings of up to 36 guests, and the Council Chamber, a beautiful oak panelled room with hand-painted murals for ceremonies of up to 70. Post-vows, additional rooms are available to hire for post drinks receptions. We love...
