An Essex Wedding - January/February 2024 (Issue 114)

LUCY’S NEW JACKET RANGE Lucy Can’t Dance specialises in alternative wedding dresses for non-traditional brides, experimenting with laces and colour techniques to give you exciting, elegant wedding dress designs. An Essex Wedding magazine had a quick chat Lucy to find out more about the new and modern jacket designs she has added to her range of bridal accessories! Lucy says, “We’ve always loved a bridal jacket so were itching to make a range to complement our dresses. I love sustainability and one-of-a-kind pieces so I decided to source awesome vintage jackets and customise them with bespoke designs. This gave jackets a whole new lease of life and also makes the jackets more affordable to our brides. I love that there’s only ever one of each design which makes them even more special. We design and print all the jackets ourselves right in our studio in Chelmsford. Being able to print anything we like is so exciting for us. We can also make custom prints for our brides who want something special to them. The collection includes lots of tassels you can shimmy the night away in.” Keep your eyes peeled as the boutique will be launching collections of jackets every couple of months. https://lucycantdance.com/collections/accessories GREENWOODS RAISE OVER £3,500 FOR ESSEX CHARITIES Over 100 people enjoyed tea, cake and entertainment at Greenwoods Hotel & Spa on Sunday 19th November for a fundraiser supporting two essential charities. An Essex Wedding had the opportunity to speak with Abigail from Prestige Petals, the florist that can work with both fresh and high-end artificial flowers as well as décor hire. Abigail told us, “I started in 2020, just started making Christmas decorations which has since snowballed into wedding décor, corporate events and photoshoot set ups. “Since starting Prestige Petals Essex, I’ve had the opportunity to work for some amazing people and places. This includes, weddings at Hever Castle, St Pauls and Claridge’s in London, as well as most of the amazing Essex wedding venues. I’ve had the honour of working for In The Style, which has allowed me to work with Stacey Soloman, Billie Shepard, Olivia Bowen, Lorna Luxe, Dame Deborah James, Lad Baby Mum and Jac Jossa multiple times, from delivering them bouquets to photoshoot set ups. Also, Prestige Petals Essex do all the centrepieces for the Retail Week Awards, which last year was hosted by Paddy McGuinness. This is around 100 centrepieces which are all fresh! This year we’ll be at the Grosvenor Hotel. We have 72 hours to do all the prepping of the flowers, making arrangements, transporting them to London, set up, and collection! It’s brilliant.” To get in touch visit: www.prestigepetalsessex.com In The Style 10
