Pandora teams up with Stonewall for Pride month
Pandora, the world's largest jewellery brand, is joining forces with LGBTQ+ charity Stonewall in support of Pride this summer. Between 1st June and 31 August 2023, 10% of each sale generated from a select range of pride-inspired Pandora charms will be donated to Stonewall to support its mission of equality and acceptance of LGBTQ+ people. Pandora has pledged a minimum £25,000 donation that will be distributed across Stonewall's ongoing work to build a world where all LGBTQ+ people are free to be themselves. Pandora began working with Stonewall in 2022 when the company launched its 'Pride at Pandora' network in the UK, a grassroots initiative aimed at transforming the experiences of its LGBTQ+ employees in the workplace, providing peer-to-peer support and raising awareness around better inclusion of underrepresented groups. The network actively promotes acceptance, equality and equity, as well as celebrating the work of LGBTQ+ people, and raising awareness of issues affecting the community.

Bridal designer Sanyukta Shrestha nominated for award
One of the UK's leading sustainable bridal fashion designers, Sanyukta Shrestha was shortlisted for the Visionary Leadership Award by The Good Small Business Awards 2023 in the UK. It's following the recent felicitation by Ahmedabad Design Week in India to honour Shrestha's electrifying contributions to sustainable fashion alongside some of the world's great innovators and visionaries. David Kusuma, the president of the World Design Organisation, says, "This Visionary Leadership Award nomination is another milestone to honour her decade-plus career that celebrates slow fashion and women empowerment." Bridal jewellery is all about the ring however, according to Google trend data the search term bridal watches has received a 4.700% uplift. 'There is an uplift in brides opting to wear a classic timepiece on their wedding day, whether that be a family heirloom that is their 'something borrowed', or a 'something new', that is a gift from their spouse. A bridal watch is often the 'showpiece', that is donned to reflect an overall style.
