Amy and Dan met when they were 17 and hit it off straight away. “I worked in a tearoom and Dan worked in a fruit and vegetable shop and delivered to us. Dan was the guy that all the ladies fancied so I thought there was no chance; he was handsome with dark hair and chatty, I thought: he's a bit of alright!” Dan adds, “Amy was always chatty too, she never stopped talking; plus, as she worked in the tearooms I would always get a free breakfast!” After a relationship beckoned, Dan proposed on the 10th July 2021. Dan had planned to do it at Cirque Du Soleil at the Royal Albert Hall, however this was cancelled due to Covid. He then decided to propose at Trafalgar Square by the fountains, but little did he know, England would make the World Cup finals! “He had no choice but to try and find somewhere else to propose,” shares Amy. “Luckily we had a nice walk along the embankment and strolled down to the London Eye, where Dan proposed on one knee! This took me by complete surprise, I was not expecting it whatsoever! It also took Dan by surprise as London was so busy with lots of England fans so he had a big audience!” The date was set, 2nd September, 2023, with Chilston Park Hotel setting the scene. “Chilston Park Hotel blew us away! It has so much to offer; beautiful interior and décor, and stunning grounds. It just looked stunning from the moment we drove down the driveway!” recalls Amy. “Sophie, our coordinator, was exceptional, going above and beyond to help make sure everything was perfect, which it was!”

Matthew Dawson from Swynford Manor put together this summer-themed shoot with the help of some talented local suppliers. “Our main dining room is called the Garden Room, so we decided to bring the garden and trees inside,” says Matthew. “We felt the olive trees worked with our high ceilings and large glass windows. We chose golden charger plates and glassware to keep the set-up classy and luxurious. The main and new addition for this shoot was the Lady Augusta Pavilion for outdoor ceremonies. This is our second outdoor licensed ceremony area and can hold up to 150 guests. We decorated it with olive trees lining the aisle and large floral urns.”

David Rucker Photography worked with a team of talented suppliers to create this stunning styled shoot. “Being a qualified mountaineer, it’s little wonder that I shoot the majority of my weddings in the Lakes or the Highlands of Scotland, where I’ve been in constant wanderlust since I was a young boy,” says David. “I love being surrounded by nature, so when my favourite venue in The Lake District, New House Farm, asked me to photograph a photo shoot with some of their favourite suppliers, I jumped at the opportunity. New House Farm is no ordinary venue; quite simply, it is something else. Nestled in the incomparable Vale of Lorton, surrounded by fells, it feels like you are detached from the hustle and bustle of places like Bowness, Grasmere and Keswick. A date was set, and little did we know that as the time came around, it would be the hottest day of the year. After many cold drinks and a cheeky ice cream later, we hit the slopes of Latrigg above Keswick, where fortunately there was a slight breeze in the air.”

Strawberry Hill House & Garden offers a magical setting for both ceremonies and receptions. This fairytale Gothic castle was built in the 18th century by writer and collector, Horace Walpole. Grade II listed, it's internationally renowned as Britain's finest example of domestic Georgian Gothic revival architecture. An oasis of calm and tranquillity close to the river in Twickenham, Strawberry Hill House boasts extensive grounds and a Grade II listed garden. The House also benefits from good transport links and easy access to London and surrounding areas. Say “I do” in The Gallery (84 guests). This magnificent historical backdrop boasts a fan-vaulted ceiling and golden canopies, which inspired Horace Walpole to make his famous admission: “I begin to be ashamed of my own magnificence.” The Waldegrave Suite (120 dining, 250 evening guests) is home to wedding receptions here. Lady Waldegrave's suite of historical rooms was originally designed for entertaining guests. Dine beneath the opulent chandeliers of the Waldegrave Dining Room, followed by drinks and dancing in the adjoining rooms. You and your loved ones can also enjoy drinks and canapés among the historical lime grove and drifts of wildflowers on the lawns.
